Night

Well, I just wanted to stop in and say a few things. I have been told that I seem like a negative person on here and as well on neverbeg. Well I guess I just get frustrated at the amount of times I get my money all in, see the hand I am up against and know that I am going to get smashed. I know its poker, and I have seen it 1 million times, but I just get frustrated.

One thing I am happy about it how things are going overall poker wise. I have been pretty tilt free online even though I have been seeing some sick shit. This new discipline I think comes from everything that has happened at neverbeg. It really was a blessing that all that stuff happened because I grew a lot from it. I got a couple of nice scores in my BAP's today so thats good. Only negative is I have made a couple of poor investments and that money is down, hopefully some of my reliable horses can hit it big to cover for the others.

Time for the BAP updates

Ok well I am over that bull shit hand on ftp, and ready to do work on my next bap. My last one ended +214 for investors.....should have been about +800 but I won't talk about all the major bs that happened to me during that HEEB.

My investments are down a little, unfortunately, but WillieDM3 made a sweet score again. To bad he lost to that donk heads up.

Long time - Lots to update.

Well it has been a long time sense I last wrote in here. A lot has happened and I have continued to stake out a TON.....only thing is I am finally making smart investments and it has really paid off recently. WillieDM3 has been on fire for his BAP's, making me $250 so far :).

Ill try to update what is going on with my BR:

Current BAP's Invested In:

$50 - dmk
$20 - JohnPreston
$51 - JustBlazed
$50 - Drnobody1
$100 - 24shack24 (95% sure rolled)
$50 - MtgVo
$50 - WillieDM3
$50 - bnorris85
$150 - Crow1974
$50 - DangWhat
$30 - rmthawk64

Current Stakes Out - $651

Current Bankroll - $ 58.01

So my 100 dollar heeb that i was talking about in previous posts has ended, and I am happy to report that after 130+ games I brought the BR from down to 40 all the way up to 305. Very nice to be able to pull that all the way back up playing sngs under 10 dollars. Definatly way different than any other heeb I have done before. It has also shown me the importance of BR management. Hopefully I can stick to playing games in my BR instead of full rolling heads up matches like I seem to always do.

Right now as far as my play, I am playing a $200 dollar Full Tilt Poker heeb that I have $50 of my own money in. It has started out very well. Playing games in the $5 dollar range i was up $130 dollars, but then I came in 2nd in a 5.50 mtt for $313. Very nice. It currently sits at around $620 dollars. This all in 2 days!

When i get some of the stakes back I plan on signing up for rakeback and depositing $200 on cake poker. It is crazy how much we all pay in rake, and if I have to move to cake to get some of this back then I will go to the inferior site.

I will try to update this more often, wonder if anyone is actually reading this....

To Class or Not To Class?

Hmmm, debating on whether to go to my mba class or to just play a massive session tonight, leaning towards massive session as the class really, really blows. Yeah I don't think I am going, guy says he takes attendance and you can only miss three, but I have gone for 4 weeks and he doesn't know our names or call roll. Tonight will most likely be the first time he checks.

I did a pmarrica transaction from pokerstars to paypal and withdrew 200 from my bankroll. Life called and said your bank account is pathetic.

Current Stakes Out - $433

Current Bankroll - $ 7.21

Busy Day Poker Wise

First off, I love you Josh Beckett! Man was he filthy tonight. Hopefully dice-k can dominated on Friday as well.

Today was a day of missed opportunity. I bubbled a 180 man again after trying to outplay the chip leader; I was right that he raised with air, I was wrong that he hit his flush with J2 Suited. Oh well I am going for the win, not for double buy in money.

I did however come in 2nd place in the Neverbeg Private tourney. 101 players, 2nd was good for 100 bucks. I made a pretty bad call HU with top pair. I should have laid it down as the guy was playing really tight. Good news is I picked up two bounty stakes, hopefully i can run well in the mtts and flip this private tourney into even more.

I also staked out a bunch today:

$22 - glpm (already returned with final BR of $50, i receive $39 back)
$22 - kligsta86
$50 - MtgVo
$10 - ma77th3gr34t
$60 - MrPOKERJACK + JD_Magic

GL TO ALL PLAYERS

So after today these are my totals:

Current Stakes Out - $433

Current Bankroll - $ 207.21

Volume play may be the way to go

Been thinking about it a lot and I think a lot of the problems i have with online poker is that when i single table or double table I put so much time and focus into those few tables. Usually they are for bigger buy ins because I feel like I am playing my best. When I lose these games it drives me nuts, and I go to another table and buy in more.

I have been trying to play more volume and more in my bankroll. I have been 6 tabling 45 man sit n gos and it has been going decent. When my AA loses to AK for umpteenth time I just close the window and move on to one of the other games. No time to steam, no time to "try and make it back". I think it has really helped.

I have been focusing this during the last 2 weeks or so, during that time I haven't been able to play much but when I have I achieved these results, almost all playing 4+ tables at a time.

bnorris85 52$2 $5 30%$81 -PokerStars9/25/2007 10/2/2007 E6-45

So hopefully I have discovered something to help me out.

My 100 dollar heeb is finally turning around, been doing well in the 45 man turbos. Less than a week ago it was at 40 bucks, now sitting at 180 ish. So happy for me and my staker. Only took 80 sngs lol. Back on the grind tomorrow before the Red Sox DOMINATE.

Goodnight

Poker Bankroll up, life bankroll way down

For the purposes of this blog I am starting my BR at $200. Its around what I have now in my poker account, not including stakes out, and not including money that is staked to me.

Current Stakes Out - $291

$50 dmk
$20 JohnPreston
$51 JustBlazed
$20 FF_Barret
$50 Drnobody1
$100 24shack24 (95% sure rolled)

As you can see with my amazing BR management I have more money out in stakes than I do in my Bankroll. I am currently running a $100 dollar heeb that started out downwards, but after 60+ games Im in the positive again. This is an important heeb for me to regain some trust I have lost in the staking world.

In life news...I lost 325 dollars, the other half of next months rent, on whether or not the play by play during the Rockies game was Don fucking Orsillo. Good Job Degen.

Hmm this could be cool.

I am going to give updates on my day to day activities in the poker world. Hopefully after i get some fucking BR management you will see the growth of a successful player. I am not talking about winning the Sunday Million and dominating the wcoop events, but rather playing regularly with success and discipline. I love the game, but terrible bank roll management has led to some problems in my life. My goal is to change those around so my playing poker all the time isnt a negative anymore, but a positive to my pears.

I will give an update of my playing and staking today after the Patriots dominate the Bengals, sucks because I like the Bengals, but tonight they suck.

Brian
